Greenland white-fronted geese on River Suck

As part of ongoing wintering bird surveys being undertaken by Ecofact staff, we are currently monitoring the movements of Greenland white-fronted geese in the Irish midlands. We counted at total of 105 GWFs on the River Suck at Muckanagh callows near Ballygar yesterday. Bird surveys currently being undertaken by Ecofact staff are being used to inform Ecological Impact Statement and Appropriate Assessments (Natura Impact Statements) for proposed wind energy developments in the Irish midlands.

If you would like any further information on bird surveys undertaken by Ecofact, or details regarding any other ecological assessment services in relation to wind energy developments that we provide, please do not hesitate to contact us at +353 61 419477 or at info@ecofact.ie.
