Wintering Bird Surveys 2012

Ecofact ecologists are currently undertaking a number of wintering bird surveys to inform both Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and Natura Impact Statements (NIS) for proposed wind farm developments both in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. These surveys normally run from September until March and comprise at least two site visits per month. Most of the surveys that we are undertaking at present involve vantage point watching for fixed periods, often coinciding with dawn and dusk periods when geese and swans can be moving from roosting to daytime feeding sites.

If you require advice regarding the implications of wind farm developments on birds, or require a bird survey for any species completed, please contact the ornithological professionals at +353 61 419477 or info@ecofact.ie.
